Welcome back, everyone - it’s almost time for another round of Friday Night Fights!

Every week we mix things up with new rotations, experimental & limited time game modes, or community challenges. Whether you’re new to the Tower or a seasoned veteran, we hope you’re able to find something fun to check out!

Here’s the lineup for this week:

Limited Time Mode: Turbo Ascension

Trios are back with a high-speed twist! This week, we’re introducing a limited time mode we’re calling Turbo Ascension. Instead of dropping on the first floor, Turbo Ascension begins with 8 teams dropping right into the second floor of the tower. 

Expect shorter games, scrappier looting, and fewer “full builds”. Give it a shot and let us know what you think - Turbo Ascension will be the primary queue for Friday Night Fights this week. 

Solo Queue Leaderboard 

Think you’re the best in your region? Prove it. 

This Friday, we’ll be tracking the top scoring solo players across each region and live updating it on our leaderboard as the night goes on. Queue up alone and get the most major eliminations across five games to earn yourself glory! And bragging rights!

Here’s how to play: 

Queue up solo and rack up points based on your top five games. Points are earned by racking up Major Eliminations (awarded to the player who dealt the highest percentage of damage to a downed target). This will be live updated as games go throughout the night.

Scoring Breakdown:

• Floor 1 (Drop Floor) Major Eliminations - 1 point each

• Floor 2 Major Eliminations - 2 point each

• Floor 3 (Final Floor) Major Eliminations - 3 point each 

Pro Tip: Your overall score is based on your highest scoring five individual games. If you play a sixth game and out perform your lowest score, it’ll be replaced automatically. Knock out a solid first five games to jump onto the leaderboard. Keep playing as the night goes on to stay there.

Not trying to grind your way to the top solo? Feel free to party up as normal. You can also jump in as a duo and help your new teammate climb their way to victory, we’re expecting plenty of motivated solo players in the queue. You may even learn a thing or two from these players along the way. 

Dev Livestream & LFG - Watch & Learn with Bonfire!

This week we’ll have a trio of our high-skill developers livestreaming their matches to our Discord server. If you can’t play this week OR if you just want to take a break from the grind and learn a tip or two, we’d love to have you join.  

• Where: The Bonfire-Presents channel of our Discord. 

• When: Friday, from 7-9PM PT (during the North American queues

We’ll also have developers playing alongside y’all during the NA queues all night. Interested in learning? Drop a request in the Discord’s #looking-for-group channel and if someone is available they’ll buddy up. We’ll have a handful of devs keeping an eye on anyone who may need a teammate!

The After Party: Bonfire Custom Games

As the fights all come to a close and each region’s top players have earned their glory, we’re going to close out the North American queues with a custom game, hosted by Arkheron’s development team. Although we’re starting this in NA, we’d love to expand to other regions as we go. 

We’ll start rallying and forming the lobby in the Bonfire Presents channel of Discord at 9PM Pacific.
